TopTwelve

Hello Internet!

By now you know the drill with this post. I list out the top books that I read and loved this past month and from them I choose the best of the best. This book then gets listed in my Top 12 List (check out my sidebar) and at the end of the year those 12 books are pitted against each other and my top book for the year is chosen.

The Contenders – 5 Star Reads

NA

Another month goes by and still no 5 star reads. Its been four months and I think this might be the longest stretch yet without one. Therefore, you should all pay close attention to when I read one as you’ll know its a really good read!!! Anywho, dipping into the 4 star pool for a favorite book of the month there are a few promising choices but one does stand out above the rest as I listened to it on audio and the narrator was absolutely ENTRALLING. Like seriously. Wow. The story was equally good but I’m not sure if I’d have enjoyed it as much if I didn’t listen to it. I just loved all the world building in Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge and found it to be a really solid debut novel. I’m now extra excited to read her next book, Crimson Bound which will be released in May.

Cruel Beauty

 CRUEL BEAUTY BY ROSAMOND HODGE!!

I read The Wrong Side Of Right and found myself really BORED! I mean, maybe because I don’t care about politics, but I found that the whole campaign arc dragged too much! 🙁

I just recently finished An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir and absolutely loved it.
