Top 12 List: September 2013 / Month in Review

Posted by Irish in Contest, Month in Review, Top 12 List5 Comments

Hello Internet!

By now you know the drill with this post. I list out the top books that I read and loved this past month and from them I choose the best of the best. This book then gets listed in my Top 12 List (check out my sidebar) and at the end of the year those 12 books are pitted against each other and my top book for the year is chosen.

The Contenders – 5 Star Reads

Eep!! There were no 5 star reads for me this month and while that does make me sad I did read some good 4 star quality books. I recommend all of them but the one that I am going to nominate as best of the best is Wicked Thing by Angeline Kace.

There was just something about this story that drew me in and held on and makes me want to see more of these characters. I think that with Erin McCarthy’s books I didn’t feel this as much since there two available to read so the part of my brain that wants more is temporarily sated. As for Altered, I enjoyed this, but the narrator was just not the best and so that took away some of my enjoyment of the story. My review of Wicked Thing will be up on 08 October so be sure to come back and check it out, until then you can read some of my favorite quotes and enter a contest by clicking here.

What about you? What was your favorite book read this month? Let me know in the comments below. =)

Thanks for the Month in Review and the giveaway. My favorite book last month was The Fort by Aric Davis. Have a great day!

Don’t fret about finding no 5 star reads this time around. What a boring world we’d live in if each and every book were a grand slam home run. Half the the fun of finding what we want is in the thrill of the chase.
