WWW Wednesday: 06 March 2013 (Find out what I'm reading this week)

WWW Wednesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading asks you to answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

My answers:

What are you currently reading?

Draw the Dark by Isla J Bick (Goodreads, Audio). I really should be done with this one by now but I just haven't been in the mood for listening to a book during my commute so I've been listening to music instead.

I just finished my latest read and so haven't fully decided on my next read yet but it will most likely be one of the following. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey (Goodreads), Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt (Goodreads), How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller (Goodreads), Nobody by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (Goodreads).

On the back burner:
Still reading these just not actively...I will finish them eventually...
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken (Goodreads).
Venom by Fiona Paul (GoodReads).
Year Zero by Rob Reid (Goodreads, Audio). Since my iPod was MIA I put this one on hold and started another audio that I had on CD. Will pick this one up again once I finish Draw the Dark.

What did you recently finish reading?

Opal by Jennifer Armentrout (Goodreads, 4 stars). It should be criminal to end a book like this! So ready for the next book!

Down to You by M. Leighton (Goodreads, 3 stars). I have mixed feelings on this one. I get what author was trying to do but I am not sold on the execution. Also, not a fan of that out of nowhere ending. I dislike when a book pulls a rabbit out of the hat in the final chapter and in order to force you to be all edge of your seat intrigued in order to pick up the next book.

What have I posted about since last week?
What do you think you'll read next?

I'll probably read something from my List of Twelve.
  1. Classic/Middle Grade^Ash Mistry and the Savage Palace by Sarwat Chadda
  2. Series: If We Kiss & Kiss Me Again by Rachel Vail - ok I know this is two books but they are both short so they can almost count as one.
  3. Backlist**: The Vampire Stalker by Allison VanDiepen
  4. Review Book: Venom by Fiona Paul
I also have some books from the library, books to read for a blog tour, and books to read to prepare for upcoming book signings to read. Plus all those shiny new books that always seem to catch my eye and distract me. If I ever finish the list of twelve above then I'll try to work any of these books that remain into the new list. Needless to say though I'm going to be pretty busy over the next couple of months.
