WWW Wednesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading asks you to answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
My answers:
What are you currently reading?
Be sure to check out my contest for a finished copy of Blaze by Laurie Boyle Crompton. I didn't get much reading done this weekend as I got sucked into watching Teen Wolf on Netflix. I blitzed through the entire two seasons and am now suffering through some horrible withdrawal pangs. If you don't watch this show you should...its fabulous!
Year Zero by Rob Reid (Goodreads, Audio). Didn't make any progress on this one as my ipod is currently MIA. Please come home soon dear ipod...I miss you so.
Traced by Megan Squires (Goodreads). I have to have this read for an upcoming blog tour and right now I am just not feeling it. I don't like the MC and I don't like love triangles. There are lots of 4/5 star reviews on GR though so here's hoping that it gets better.
On the back burner:
Still reading these just not actively...I will finish them eventually...
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken (Goodreads).
Venom by Fiona Paul (GoodReads).
What did you recently finish reading?
Hysteria by Megan Miranda (Goodreads, 3.5 stars). I liked it but wasn't super wowed by it. I think that it took too long for some events to happen and so the ending felt rushed. My review should post on 18 Feb.

What do you think you'll read next?
I'll probably read something from my List of Twelve.
- Classic/Middle Grade^: Ash Mistry and the Savage Palace by Sarwat Chadda
- Series: If We Kiss & Kiss Me Again by Rachel Vail - ok I know this is two books but they are both short so they can almost count as one.
- Backlist**: The Vampire Stalker by Allison VanDiepen
- Review Book: Venom by Fiona Paul
I also have some books from the library, to read for a blog tour, or to prepare for an upcoming book signing to read. Plus all those shiny new books that always seem to catch my eye and distract me. If I ever finish the list of twelve above then I'll try to work any of these books that remain into the new list. Needless to say though I'm going to be pretty busy over the next couple of months.

I am going to have to check out Teen Wolf! What a fun distraction. :) I still want to check out Year Zero but I have too much in the way! I hope your ipod returns home soon. Cheers!

I was amazed at how much I liked it and now I am suffering from Teen Wolf withdrawal. So ready for summer! lol
DeleteI still haven't started Year Zero either.....sigh. I need to read Hysteria. It's sounds like another book by Megan that I'll like.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read her debut but I'm definitely interested in check it out after reading Hysteria.
DeleteTeen Wolf sounds like fun; I'd heard about the series House of Cards on Netflix but not this one.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I LOVE your blog design.
I haven't heard of House of Cards but might have to check it out. Right now I've moved on to Supernatural. Its no Teen Wolf but I am enjoying it so far.
DeleteMy blog was designed by Blogging Bella Designs I'm very happy with the job she did!
I need to read Hysteria really! I hope you enjoy your books! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up, after reading this awesome post i am as well glad to share my knowledge here with mates.
ReplyDeleteHave a look at my web site - your-task.com
Just added Year Zero to my "Want to Read" on GoodReads. Sounds funny, ala Christopher Moore or A. Lee Martinez.
ReplyDeleteYear Zero looks good. I added it to my tbr. I have been hearing mixed reviews on Hysteria. I will be reading it in the next couple of weeks. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow, I haven't heard of any of these books. Very interesting titles!
ReplyDeleteHope you find your IPOD soon so you can continue reading that book, it definitely looks interesting! =)

Good luck on finding your iPod! When you do you should download the "find my iphone" app (works with iPod touches, macs, ipads, etc... not just iphones, lol) that way you can locate it, lock it, display a message on it, or whatever :) It took me a good while to figure that MC meant Main Character, lol! I was thinking, "huh.. the book has a DJ?" I feel so dumb :/ Hopefully Trace gets better for you! Year Zero looks familiar and may or may not be on my to-read list, so I'll have to check into that :D Happy reading!

Hi Irish,
ReplyDeleteI haven't come across any of your featured books or authors this week, so had to check them all out a little more.
I know that you weren't over enthused by 'Hysteria', but I am really tempted by this one, so have added it to my list to try. I decided this after checking out Megan Miranda's site and discovering her previous book, 'Fractured', which I was also intrigued by.
Thanks for highlighting some great new reads and I hope that you enjoy your reading week.
Yvonne
I watched the first season of Teen Wolf then completely forgot about it! haha I'll have to go on netflix and catch up. I've been looking forward to reading Hysteria. I'll watch for your review :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by The Book Bag. Sounds like you have a lot of books calling your name. I kind of have the same problem. So many books...... Have a great week reading!
