Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones (GoodReads). I started this one on the short flight from Dallas to NM...but didn't make it very far as 24 hours without sleep finally caught up with me and I passed out. Since then I've only read it sporadically as much of my time has been spent chasing after a 3 year old with energy to burn (I swear she cyphons it from me!) So I haven't made it far but what I have read I've enjoyed.
Katya's World by Jonathan L. Howard (GoodReads). I really need to have more ebooks on my list of twelve as they are so very easy to read here and there when you find yourself with a bit of time on your hands. Anywho, started this sci-fi book recently and so far I am enjoying it.
What did you recently finish reading?
Princess of Glass by Jessica Day George (GoodReads, 3.5 stars). I liked this one better than the first. The story was less predictable and I think that I just liked Poppy and Christian better than Rose. Some aspects were a little underdeveloped but overall not a bad story. (Click here for my full review.)
Princess of the Silver Wood by Jessica Day George (GoodReads, 4 stars). Of the three books in this series this one was my favorite. I liked the characters and the plot better. The plot pacing was well done and nothing felt too rushed. Overall, a really enjoyable read. (Click here to see my full review.)

What do you think you'll read next?
I'll probably read something from my List of Twelve...unless I get distracted by something shiny. And lately I've really been distracted by the shiny.
- Classic/Middle Grade^: Ash Mistry and the Savage Palace by Sarwat Chadda
- New Release*: A Million Suns by Beth Revis
- Series: If We Kiss & Kiss Me Again by Rachel Vail - ok I know this is two books but they are both short so they can almost count as one.
- Review Book: What's Left of Me by Kate Zhang
- Backlist**: The Vampire Stalker by Allison VanDiepen
- Review Book: Venom by Fiona Paul
- New Release*: Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne

Katya's World looks like an awesome book, I may have to pick it up. I'm finishing up a pretty great book now called "Three Fugitives" by Nat Howler, it's part of the Six Stones Trilogy. You can check out him and the book on the website http://nathowler.com/. Thanks for the reviews and suggestions.
ReplyDeleteI've missed your posts for a few weeks, but I'm back. Like what I see as usual. Katya's World looks very interesting. Here's mine. Have a great week.

I remember the days of three year olds, they do keep you busy and on your toes. Have a great day, and enjoy her, she will grow up much faster than you can count to three hundred. Happy Reading.

I loved Third Grave! Here's wishing you tons of energy, lol! I also have Venom on my to-read list (I got it when the author offered it for free on amazon, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet, lol!) If I see when you start reading it, I might have to read it at the same time! :)

The Charley Davidson books look like such fun. I've been seeing them pop up everywhere lately. I think I might have to give them a read.
ReplyDeleteHope you get time to read soon! :]
I read the first Charlie Davidson and enjoyed it, had me laughing out loud a couple of times. Started the second one but just got bored for some reason, been planning to finish it for a while now.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! :)
Love all the covers on your books this week. Haven't read any of Darynda Jones, but they sound great. Princess of the Silver Wood sounds good, will have to check out the series. Thank you for stopping by my WWW this week.
