Abraham Lincoln is a bad ass.

At least in this interpretation of him. My friend Ashley said it best when she described this movie as “10% historical + 90% ridiculous = 100% fun” and that is exactly what Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is. I saw this movie in 3D and I think that it totally added to experience. Especially to the girl who I went to see this with  as she quite literally screamed and jumped a few times…it was almost as entertaining as the movie. lol
This movie will make you jump one moment and then you’ll be laughing out loud the next for the sheer absurdity of it all.  This is not a movie to go to if you expect lots of twists and turns. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is pretty straight forward and what you see is what you get. The plot is predictable and the characters are all pretty surfacy. Not to mention that the plot was so totally and completely ridiculous at times and yet it was so utterly enjoyable. (I suspect black magic is at work here folks.)
Where this movie shines is in the effects. They were pretty gosh darn amazing and the 3D aspects of it were stunning. As I said above there were some scenes that really make you jump as everything is just so real and close. My friend Ashley (the same one quoted above) saw this in 2D and she liked it so I’m sure that what ever format you choose that you’ll enjoy it. Though if I had to choose I would spend the extra money and go with 3D. And if you know anything about me you know that’s a high recommendation as I think the 3D craze is a bit excessive and overdone and I’m so ready for it to be over. But I can’t imagine seeing braham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter  in any other format.
If you are looking for a movie to entertain you then go see this one. Its brain candy at its finest. Its also a movie that I think will be better seen in the movie theatre. There is something about that jumbo screen and the surround sound that really makes all the aspects of this movie work. I was totally entertained by this one and I kinda want to see it again.

Oh my goodness I’ve been on the fence with going to see this, not wanting to pay more than matinee prices for it. But you made me say ‘Yes!’ to seeing this. I like to just have fun sometimes when I go to see a movie.

I did the same when I first saw the movie poster and the first time I saw the trailer I was like…this is ridiculous. But the trailers grew on me and I was so entertained by this.

Every time I see a commercial for this movie I fangirl about it. The husband rolls his eyes at me every time. But it’s Abe Lincoln as a badass vampire hunter! How can I not want to see it? 😀

You really need to find a way to convince him to go! I think once he sees it he’ll fall for it too. =)
