Back in November Galleysmith introduced a new feature on her blog called the List of Ten which she learned of from her friend Andi. And its something that I have been thinking about ever since. I am a virgo and I love lists, but I've never really seemed to be very good at book lists. But with the new year upon us and with my goal to try and read 125 books this year I thought that I might test out her list of ten to see if organizing my upcoming reads helps me get through books a little faster. Since I have my Top 12 list of favorite reads, I thought that instead of a List of Ten I would do a List of Twelve.
So here is my current list:
New Release*: Witch Eyes by Scott Tracey
Library Book^: Book Without Words by Avi
Series: Cinder by Marissa Meyers
Library Book^: The Christopher Killer by Alane Ferguson
New Release*: How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr
Backlist**: The Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King
*A new release will be any books that are less than a year old
**Backlist titles will be any book older than a year
^Library books may be pushed up out of order depending on due dates.
Hopefully with this list I will get through some of my personal goals such as read more classics, make more use of my library and read more of the books that I have purchased over the years. I may also change out the library category if I don't have any library books out at the time. I'm not sure how long this will last, but nothing ventured, nothing gained...right?

I need to do something like this (starting in May), but without the audio and library books. Hope it works for you!
ReplyDeleteI might change out my library book categories every so often...we'll see how my TBR pile looks each time it comes to generating the list. =)
ReplyDeleteHow's the list going? You have some good titles on there! I definitely need to work on some backlist books.
ReplyDeleteSarah - so far it seems to be working. But I've only just begun. =)
