The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling Now Available for Pre-order

Posted by Irish in Misc3 Comments

Its finally happened…just as many of us devoted Harry Potter fans have wished for every since first heard that Rowling was writing the Tales of Beedle and the Bard. Those hand written copies were lusted after by many….but were WAY out of the normal person’s price bracket. Well now the Tales are coming to the ordinary people and you can pre-order it on Amazon. There is a standard edition which you can preorder here. The standard edition “eatures all five fairy tales from the original The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a new introduction by J.K. Rowling, illustrations reproduced from the original handcrafted book, and commentary on each of the tales by Professor Albus Dumbledore.” The standard edition retails for $12.99….the pre-order price is $7.59

There is also and “exclusive Collector’s Edition includes a reproduction of J.K. Rowling’s handwritten introduction, as well as 10 additional illustrations not found in the Standard Edition.” You can pre-order the collectors edition by clicking here. The collectors editon retails for $100.

I am trying hard to resist the temptation to rush out and pre-order both….although if you’ve been paying attention you know that I don’t resist books well…so you might as well count both of these as part of my collection.

I have not placed that order yet…lol! I’ve pretty much used up all the book money for the year. Poor kids won’t be able to get this one.

I am such a bad mom!

tapestry…you know I can’t resist. but thankfully I have sister who succumbed to my begging and says she’s gonna get it for me. =)

JKaye – surely your beloved OH wouldn’t deny the wee ones the standard edition. What’s $8 when the result is a smile on a child’s face?
